Delnor-Wiggins State Park

From a recent beach outing.  This originated as a quick panorama shot using my iPhone, but as I reviewed the image later on, it was evident that it had some potential to make it to becoming a large print.  The edits were all performed on my iPhone, using Polarr for iOS.  If you’re a user of this app, you know how good it is as a mobile editor.  You may also have received a notice from the makers of Polarr about their latest app, Picky.  It turns out that Picky, once installed, grabs several “picks” from your camera roll and applies artificial intelligence to present you with intelligent enhancements to some of it’s picks. This photo resulted from one of these enhancements.  Some might say it’s a bit overdone, and has that gastly HDR look, but what caught my eye here is the detail that was extracted in the clouds, waves, and sand.

This is one of my favorite stretches of beach on the west coast of Florida.  The water may not be as clear most of the time as it is on the east coast, but the wildlife is definitely more abundant.  One of my favorite subjects to photograph are shorebirds, and the west coast definitely fills the bill.

On this particular outing however, the birds weren't as abundant, so I only had a chance to photograph a few......

Thanks for visiting and taking some time to read my photo blog.  I'm by no means a "pro", nor do I have any interest in "going pro". I'm just another guy with a camera, or two, that's blessed to have a day job that allows me to enjoy photography purely for the fun of it.

My goal with this site is simply to share my passion, and to share what I find along the way.  Thanks for looking.
